We are an Association with a public window via the website with the address: https://neophysics.org.

The site is Open Access, nothing is hidden from the public. You are free to browse and we take no interest that you visited our website and we take all precautions that no third parties record your visit here. 

Registering with neophysics.org does not give you any extra privileges regarding the browsing of site content. However, should you wish to interact with the website, participate in the forums, upload your research requires positive identification by taking a subscription and identifying yourself via your payment method. 

Registering on neophysics.org

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) is provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/

Also on registering, our first step in verifying you as a real persons is to verify real email addresses; we send the domain of your email, that is everything after the @ symbol, eg. gmail.com, to https://www.block-disposable-email.com to verify that it is not a disposable email address.

Media

If you upload PDF files, we have no control of the content and the personal information it contains.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your personal data with

We do not share your date. However,

  1. if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
  2. if you take out a paid subscription your data, by necessity, is uploaded to our payment gateway Stripe.com.

How long we retain your  personal data

If you participate in the forum the generated metadata are retained indefinitely.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your personal data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
